Hobart Valuation Rolls, 1853-1890

These valuation rolls (also known as assessment lists) for Hobart and environs were printed as part of the Hobart Town gazette. The Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Hobart Town assessed “the annual value of the respective houses, warehouses, counting-houses, shops, and other buildings, with their appurtenances, within the said City; and have fixed and determined, for the year…, the Rate to be paid by the respective occupier or occupiers thereof…” (1853).
