Convict Assignment Lists and Associated Papers 1810-1859

Assignment lists usually contain the name of the convict, where they were convicted, when they were convicted and what was their sentence. The lists were taken from the convicts’ place of transportation to the Governor in the colony. The first three volumes from 1810 to 1826 also contain various other lists and letters relating to convicts. These records are part of the holdings of the Tasmanian Archives
