Description Lists of Convicts Arriving on Minor Ships or Convicted Locally 1832-1853

Included in this series are men and women who were sentenced to transportation by colonial courts having been free, either by servitude or having arrived free in the colony. Some individuals were not sentenced even to transportation, but (e.g.) by Quarter Sessions. These latter are therefore not in the Conduct Registers. There is no very clear-cut criterion for the inclusion of individuals in these volumes. These records are part of the holdings of the Tasmanian Archives
