Van Diemen’s Land Company’s Indentured Servants

From 1825 the Van Diemen’s Land Company began to indenture men for their newly formed company. These men, some of them with their wives and families, travelled to Van Diemen’s Land with very few possessions. All of them left behind loved ones and their homeland knowing full well they may never return.
