Electoral rolls are the nearest record Australians have to census listings and hence are extremely important to local, social and family historians. This collection provides information on approximately 135,000 electors in Tasmania who were registered to vote on the Commonwealth Roll of 1916. The information recorded includes the person’s name, gender, residence, occupation, and polling information (i.e. division, subdivision and roll number).
