Register of Children Admitted and Discharged from the Male and Female Orphan School – Kings/Queens Orphans School 19 March 1828-31 July 1863

Gives child’s name, age, date admitted, parents names, and ship, date of removal, religion and general remarks. In general boys and girls are entered at opposite ends of the book. However young boys are indexed and listed in the girl’s register. For ease of online viewing, the digitised version of the volume displays the pages the same way – without the need to rotate the volume to read the text.
