Old Colonists Photographs

Portrait photographs of ‘Old Colonists’ – settlers who arrived in the colony of South Australia before 1841. The men Old Colonists were invited to attend a banquet held by businessman Emanuel Solomon on 28 December 1871 to commemorate 35 years since European colonisation. Photographs are sourced from two composites or ‘mosaic’ photographs, one of men and one of women.
