The records are divided into specific periods which correspond to the emigration schemes available at the time: Applicants for free passage 1836 to 1841; Applicants who applied for free passage but did not take up the offer 1836 to 1841; and Vessels that brought assisted emigrants 1836 to 1841 and 1847 to 1886.
