Ancestral & Local History Research – In researching over more than a twenty years Graham Jaunay has made a passing note of over 9500 newspaper obituaries. In using this resource the reader should be aware that this was not a systematic search of runs of newspapers and therefore is far from complete. At this time the coverage is limited to 1836 to 1917 as every entry has been matched to the SA Death Index. A further 4000 entries from 1915 to 1930 have yet to be checked.
