Beenleigh Cemetery Monumental Inscriptions

The Beenleigh Cemetery was established in 1872 although the earliest date of death goes back to 1867. It is situated on River Hills Road, Beenleigh, Queensland in the northeast of Australia. This transcript was carried out by members of the Queensland Family History Society between October and December 2000, with a final check carried out in April 2001. Inscriptions were taken from gravestones as well as the columbarium, where those cremated are memorialised. These records were compiled by Rosemary and Eric Kopittke. Several abbreviations are used in the inscriptions and these are as follows: ILMO – In Loving Memory Of; IMO – In Memory Of; STTMO – Sacred To The Memory Of.
