Registers of Police Employment, 1847-1885

The register contains many different pieces of information on each police officer in New South Wales over those 38 years. The actual register was published from 1862 to 1904. The register kept track of whether the officer was mounted or on foot, his physical description, marital status, previous occupation and education, and police business, such as promotions and appointments or discharges.
