Convict Absconders New South Wales

List of convict absconders in the colony of New South Wales, 1819, as taken from newspaper records. Many convicts regularly ran away so will appear often throughout the Convict Absconder indices. Unlike following years, this year’s absconders lists generally only listed the convict’s name, and from where they had run. However, a missing convict can be traced through the checking of each list published. At times, where a ship is listed, there is also likely to the convict’s physical description, from where he ran, and possibly a reward amount.
