The Swan Hill Library’s Heritage Room has historical displays, family history resources and an extensive local history collection about Swan Hill and its surrounding areas.

The local history collection includes the Mallee Oral History collection, photographs, books, documents and newspapers available to use within the library.

The Mallee Oral History collection consists of more than 160 recorded interviews from residents telling their stories and stories of the district.

The microfiche collection includes old-rate books from 1863 to 1962.

On display in the Heritage Room are framed photos, replica medals and information of men from the region who served in various wars. These items were kindly provided by Bruce Clare.
