The Kiama Family History Centre is owned and operated as a community service by Kiama Municipal Council, and is located on the ground level of the Kiama Library building.

The Family History Centre has been helping people trace their family history for more than 25 years. If you are working on a genealogical or local history project and require help or would just like to discover new avenues of research, the Kiama Family History Centre is the place to visit.

The Centre has an extensive collection of books, microfilms, historical maps, databases and access to online genealogical service providers which enable access to records from not only the Kiama area but also throughout Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Europe and America.

They offer one-on-one personal assistance sessions as well as a records retrieval service that provides accurate birth, death and marriage certificates that are necessary for verifying all genealogical research.
