Ku-ring-gai Library
Description
Ku-ring-gai Library has a large Local History Collection of materials relating to the history of the local area. The collection is housed at Gordon Library. Some general resource materials are available to view in the reference area of the library during opening hours and other material is viewable by appointment.
The Local History Collection consists of thousands of items including but not limited to:
- Books
- Local newspapers/periodicals
- Oral histories
- Research files
- Maps and plans
- Council minutes and reports
- Archival material from local organisations
- Photographs
- Historical property records

Ku-ring-gai Library has a number of family history resources that can assist you in your research including research guides, shipping records, electoral rolls and other resources with a focus on NSW. The Family & House Reference collection is based at Gordon Library and available for use during the library’s opening hours.
