Coomandook School Community Library
Description
The Coomandook School Community Library is located in the grounds of Coomandook Area School as it is a combined school and public library. It opened in 1983 and is funded by the Coorong District Council, the Department for Education the State Government.
Holdings include original diaries and photographs of the early settlement of area; District Council of Peake from 1910; copies of projects and booklets compiled by students for the area’s history.
Open (during school term) Mon-Fri 8.30-4.00; Sun 10.00-11.30am. Closed Sat and public holidays. Reference assistance in person. Copies from books, journals and photographs available.
Minimum age 15 years. 2 days’ advance notice of visit required including broad field of study. Proof of identity required.
