Campbelltown’s HJ Daley Library offers a diverse range of services including reference and information services, Local Studies and Family History.
Family History
In the Family History Room at HJ Daley Library at Campbelltown you will find Australian Births/Deaths/Marriages, Assisted Immigration Records, Unassisted Immigration Records, Cemetery and Burial records and more. These records can be found in their books, microfilm and microfiche collections.
If you’re just beginning or are stuck with your research, you can get help. Volunteers from Campbelltown and District Family History Society are at the library between 10am and 12noon Monday to Saturday to assist you. Please note this service operates February through November only. Bookings can be made at the library or by phoning 02 4645 4557.
Local Studies
Campbelltown Library’s local studies collection contains historic and contemporary materials covering life in the local government area.
The physical collection at Campbelltown City Library includes:
- Books and periodicals
- Local newspapers on microfilm
- Environmental impact statements and conservation plans
- Community organisation archives
- Historical minutes of Ingleburn and Campbelltown Councils
- Parish maps and subdivision plans
- Manuscripts and family papers
Resources may only be used within the library as they are generally unique, but copies can be made of most materials.
HJ Daley Library is open Monday-Thursday 9.30 am – 8 pm; Fridays 9.30 am – 5 pm; Saturdays 9am-4pm; Sundays 12pm-4pm.
