The Yass and District Historical Society Inc, founded in 1961 is conducted entirely by volunteers with a strong sense of commitment to the heritage and the future of their community.
The Society maintains the Yass and District Museum and an extensive archive of local, organisational and family records.
The society archive welcomes enquiries from members, students, family historians, consultants and researchers.
Research enquiries by mail on a completed enquiry form and accompanied by the standard fee are appreciated as telephone or email enquiries without payment will not be actioned.

The Society’s archive is situated upstairs in the Soldiers’ Memorial Hall, Comur Street.
