The Wentworth Historical Society Inc. was formed in 1979 to record the history of the region.

The Wentworth Historical Society Inc. houses it’s collection in the Jeff Whyte Local History Room at the Wentworth Shire Library, Wentworth New South Wales. The collection includes published books; church and cemetery records; newspapers; vertical file; photographs and maps. These can be accessed by visiting the Wentworth Library during opening hours.
