The Walcha and District Historical Society Local History Centre contains a comprehensive archive of Walcha family history documents, index cards, some birth, death and marriage records, photographs, and a research library relating to residents of Walcha and the surrounding district from the 1830s.

The Centre is situated in the back room of the Walcha District Library, at 42n Derby Street. It is open during Library hours: Monday & Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 8.30 am to 5.00 pm, or at other times by arrangement. (Please note the Library is closed from 1.00 pm to 2.00 pm).
