University of Wollongong (UOW) Archives

Description

The University of Wollongong Archives team manage, preserve and provide access to physical and digital archival materials relating to:

  • the corporate and social history of UOW
  • materials of historical significance to the Illawarra region
  • materials of relevance to teaching and research.

They offer collection expertise and provide reference support for their community, external institutions and bodies, and members of the public.

Archives Online is the University of Wollongong Library’s home for its digital archival collections. It features a wide range of material from the University Archives and reflects the corporate and social history of the University, as well as its connections to the Illawarra region.

The Library is committed to digitising its historical content, to unlock the rich and unique material held within the Archives.

While the digitised collections showcase the University’s online archives content, many of their collections still exist in physical formats in the Archives.

The Archives office is located on the Ground Floor of the Wollongong Campus Library.

Appointments are available weekdays 9 am – 5 pm.
