Description
The University of Western Australia (UWA) was established in 1911 as the State’s first university. It was also the first free university in the British Empire, actively promoting equal access to tertiary education for all social classes.
University Archives act as the custodian of the records of the University that have been identified as having permanent value.
Holdings include:
- Corporate official correspondence
- Faculty and school administration records, ie minutes etc
- Student and staff records, including examination papers
- some student guild, society and club records
