St Peter’s College Archives, Adelaide
Description
St Peter’s College was founded in 1847, just 11 years after South Australia was established. The first classes were held at the Holy Trinity Church on North Terrace before they moved to their current Hackney location in 1850.
St Peter’s College Archives holds administrative records, publications, photographs and memorabilia relating to the college, including:
- Council of Governors minutes, 1847-1990
- School publications (yearbooks and newsletters), 1884- present
- Old Collegians’ Association, 1983- present
- Foundation, 1985- present
- Photographs, 1875- present
- Curricular and extra-curricular records
- School community groups
Open by appointment Monday to Friday.
Proof of identity required and research to be conducted under supervision of the Archivist. Access will be restricted for records with closed access periods.
