The St Kilda Historical Society Inc. is a not-for-profit volunteer-run organisation established in 1970 to foster interest and research into the history of St Kilda, Elwood and surrounding areas.

Over the years the St Kilda Historical Society has responded to numerous requests from people for further information about their families or buildings in St Kilda. A resource database has been accumulated most of which is in the section under Collections using Flickr. This is also being put onto the Collections Victoria for safekeeping into perpetuity.
