Southern Peninsula Family History Society
Description
The Southern Peninsula Family History Society is a not-for-profit organisation that provides family history research facilities, assistance and education to residents of and visitors to the southern Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, Australia.
Founded in 1983, the Society is run entirely by volunteers who over the years have built up an extensive catalogue of genealogical research material and who enjoy sharing their knowledge and expertise with others who are researching their family trees.
Research Facilities include:
- Databases on CD such as cemetery records
- Microfiche based records including Victorian immigration
- Books & publications including journals from other Family History groups
- Australian reference material including state births, deaths & marriages
- Overseas material including locality specific information from England, Scotland & Wales
- Internet access to some major genealogical sites
