Members of the Port Macquarie and Districts Family History Society Inc. are passionate, committed family historian and genealogists who enthusiastically promote the study and recording of family history.

The Society holds an extensive collection of family history resources which are held at the Port Macquarie Hastings Library in the Local Studies/Family History Room. These CD’s, microfiche, microfilm reels and much more, cover a wide variety of subjects.

Member volunteers of the Society are on duty every Tuesday and Wednesday from 10.00 am – 3.00 pm to help with research.

The society meets on the 2nd Saturday of every month (except January) in the Meeting Room of MacAdams Music Centre, Grant Street, Port Macquarie. (opposite Players Theatre and next to Swimming Pool).
Meetings start at 1.30pm (enter via main entrance from 12.30pm) and starts with a business meeting followed by a guest speaker.
Entry fee of $2.00 per person, which covers afternoon tea. Everybody is invited to attend, they are always happy to see visitors to their region.
