Parramatta Heritage and Visitor Information Centre
Description
The Parramatta Heritage and Visitor Information Centre hold archives dating back to 1860, access to library books, pamphlets and journals relating to the development of the Parramatta Local Government Area, plus primary resources relating to Parramatta and Western Sydney.
Their services include:
- Visitor information on all things to see and do in the City of Parramatta
- Heritage Collections Online including archives and a searchable database of their cultural collections
- Research Services including archival and cultural collection information, and the Research Library resources specialising in local studies and family history on Parramatta’s history and heritage.
Archival holdings include:
- Council minute books
- Rate and valuation books
- Correspondence registers.
The Parramatta Heritage and Visitor Information Centre is open 7 Days a week, 9am-5pm and 10am-4pm on public holidays. Closed Christmas Day and Good Friday.
