Mentone Grammar School hold records dating back to the 1920s depicting the history and heritage of the School and the students, staff, relatives, counsel members, benefactors and the wider community that have shaped it.
The collections include:
- Complete set of school publications – The Mentonian (annual) and the Mentor (tri-annual)
- School Council, Board papers and school records of Principals
- School attendance registers
- Staff and student records since 1923
- Book collections of past Principals
- A large collection of musical scores, recordings, magazines, 1950s to 1990s
- Achievement awards, trophies and memorabilia
- Uniform paraphernalia including caps, boaters, blazers, ties, cadet uniforms and badges
- Photographs, slides, movies, audiotapes and videotapes 1920s to current day
- Maps, drawings and paintings
- Cultural exchange gifts and artefacts
Open Monday to Friday, 9 am-5 pm.
Please contact the Archivist for visits. Access to records is dependent on the type, and in some circumstances may require authorisation by the Principal.
