Landsborough Museum
Description
Landsborough Museum was established in 1976. It is one of the largest community museums in South East Queensland, and is dedicated to preserving the cultural heritage of the local region. A dedicated group of volunteers staff the Museum and work to research and provide visitor access to the community’s collections and stories.
The Museum provides public access to a range of research materials including access to their database, digital images, maps dating back as far as 1859, as well as documents, books and papers relating to the area from Gympie to Brisbane.
Research is conducted in the Stan Tutt Reading Room which was the old Board Room of the Council Chambers.
Research ticket: Research can be undertaken in the Reading Room by purchasing a daily ticket for $5 or an annual ticket for $25.
The Museum is open Wednesday to Friday and Sundays from 9.00 am to 2.30 pm.
