The Lakes Entrance Family History Resource Centre Inc. was founded in 1989. Known first as the Lakes Entrance Genealogical Society then Lakes Entrance Family History Society Inc. and more recently as the Lakes Entrance Family History Resource Centre Inc. Their centre is open to all age groups with resources you can research with little difficulty. Their volunteer duty people will guide you to the many resources we hold so that the thrill of finding that relative is your own work.

Their major objective:

‘To promote the study of genealogy, local history and allied subjects by the conduct of a library and research facility which shall be open to the public in association with the Lakes Entrance Branch of the East Gippsland Library Service.’
