Geraldton Family History Society Incorporated (GFHS) was formed on 8th March 1978 and is a member of The Western Australian Genealogical Society (WAGS) & The Australasian Federation of Family History Organisations (AFFHO).

The group was established to provide help for anyone tracing their family history in Geraldton, the Midwest, or worldwide.

Visitors are most welcome on Thursday: 12.30 pm to 2.30 pm or Monday to Saturday by Appointment. A member of the Society will be on duty to assist.

There is a small fee of $5-00 for Non-Members for the use of their library facilities.

GFHS offers a research service for people who are unable to do the research themselves.

The research service offered is for Geraldton and the mid-west of Western Australia, all states and territories of Australia, and worldwide.

Research is available at $30.00 per hour. Copying and postage charges are additional.
