Genealogical Society of Queensland (GSQ)
Description
The Genealogical Society of Queensland (GSQ) was formed in 1978 to provide help, support and advice to those wishing to discover more about their family history. Over 35+ years, the Society has accumulated a comprehensive collection of resources in print, microfiche/film and digital formats. These provide both the beginning researchers, as well as those more experienced with information to help flesh out their ancestry.
GSQ also has many volunteers who staff the Resource Centre, who index cemetery and other records, who advise you on your next steps and commiserate when the inevitable brick wall is encountered, followed by helping you to break it down. GSQ also runs an active programme of lectures, workshops, seminars and hands-on activities.
