Enoggera & Districts Historical Society Inc.
Description
Established in 1994, Enoggera & Districts Historical Society are a non-profit community organisation with currently some 80 members. Their motto is: ‘Helping the local community discover its history!‘ The Society covers the suburbs in North West Brisbane based around Enoggera, stretching from Newmarket through to Ferny Grove and Upper Kedron.
Enoggera & Districts Historical Society have an extensive collection of reference material, in both document and photographic form, at the Kate Perry Library located at the Enoggera Memorial Hall, Wardell Street (accessible via Trundle Street). The library is open each Thursday from 9.30am to 1.00pm. Members of the Society and the Management Committee are present during this time. You are welcome to join them for coffee, tea and refreshments.
In addition, the Society is actively involved in the local community by conducting stalls and displays at school fetes and public celebrations during the year.
