Bright and District Historical Society Museum
Description
The Bright and District Historical Society Museum is in the historic Bright Railway Station. The museum covers railway history, gold mining history and also the social history of the area, with local family histories and a photographic collection.
The Society has a collection of:
- Histories of the area
- Family histories
- Some rate books
- Some mining-related documents
- Historical local newspapers (Alpine Observers)
If you have any family / historical enquiries the Society can search their collection for an initial fee of $15 which will cover the first hour. If the requested search is likely to take longer than this, they can give you a quotation.
