Australind Family History Society was founded in the 1980s.

The Society is situated in the Harvey Shire buildings adjacent to Australind Shopping Centre on the corner of Old Coast Road and Paris Road, Australind. Their library is a bright and happy place to visit, and their volunteers are always friendly and ready to assist you. These volunteers have learnt their skills from years researching their own family history, and because they have had so much enjoyment from it, they are willing to assist anyone who would like to begin.

You may like to have one-on-one assistance when you begin, and from then on continue to receive help, or carry on by yourself. Whichever way you choose, their volunteers will accommodate you.

The Society’s library facilities hold a great deal for treasure hunters! They have over 2,000 books, thousands of micro-fiche, as well as micro-films, and data CDs
