Australian Performing Arts Collection Research Centre
Description
The Research Centre provides access to the Australian Performing Arts Collection and reference library for study into performing arts history. This is a valuable resource for academics, students, historians, genealogists, authors, documentary makers, designers, performers and other arts practitioners. Their researchers come from all around the world and are studying topics from pop music to vaudeville and early opera.
Research can be undertaken online or by appointment. The website currently contains a selection of catalogue records for the Australian Performing Arts Collection and most of those for the Public Art Collection.
Reproductions of photographs and documents in the Collection may be ordered subject to copyright obligations and any other restrictions.
To discuss your research or make an appointment to view specific items, contact their Research Coordinator on (03) 9281 8446 or make an online enquiry.
Note that appointments are booked up to four weeks in advance.
