Anglican Diocese of Perth, Archives
Description
The Diocese of Perth archive collection contains diaries, journals, minute books and other records of Anglican churches, organisations, missions, orphanages, schools and colleges within Western Australia.
They also hold maps and architectural plans relating to Anglican churches in the state and a collection of photographic prints, negatives, transparencies and lantern slides that date from the 19th century to the present day.
Objects within the archives include vestments, crosiers and seals which document the ceremonial and episcopal life of the Church. Parish registers recording baptisms, marriages and burials are held within the collection and are important resources in genealogy and family history.
