Albany Regional Family History Society’s main aim is to help people research and build their family trees, promotion, and encouragement in the pursuit of family history, for its social record and its medical value.

Another of the Society’s aims is to collate diverse records of the early settlers in the Lower Great Southern Region of Western Australia so that they are accessible to the public.

Their holdings include:

  • Birth, Death & Marriages – for all Australian states;
  • Western Australia Electoral Roll (1955-1989);
  • Western Australia cemeteries;
  • South Australia cemeteries;
  • Some Cemeteries from most states;
  • Birth, Death & Marriages – for New Zealand;
  • Various UK & Irish Directories;
  • Shipping Lists;
  • Birth, Death & Marriages – General Registration Office (England & Wales);
  • National Probate Index.
